Good evening, everyone. It’s Tuesday the 28th of April today and I have been thinking a lot about, you know, our hearts and how important it is to guard our hearts and to just make sure that we avoid getting hardened as people. It made me think about the verse in Proverbs. So, chapter 4 in Proverbs, verse 23, which says, I’ll read the, which version should I read? I’ll read the King’s James version. “Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.”
It’s just so true.
Everything in the Bible just helps to put everything into perspective. Our hearts are so important, they’re so fragile and the more I continue every day to realise that if we don’t guard them, when they do become hardened, it literally puts you in bondage and you will struggle to get out of that on our own. I’ve definitely seen that in various situations that I have experienced in the last few days in the last day and I was thinking a lot about my daughter and just praying for her heart to be soft, praying that even when people do her wrong, that she will find a way to forgive them even when they don’t show the humility to say, “I’m sorry” and just know how important it is to see how much Christ loves her, which is most important.
Even before us, my husband and I, as her parents, that’s the most important, authority figure in her life, which is Jesus Christ. So yeah, I don’t know if, um, you know, if there’s anyone out there who has been going through any trials, and challenges, and, you know, maybe you’re angry, maybe you, you’re really disappointed with how someone has responded to you or how certain things keep repeating themselves and you’re trying to figure out like how do you, how do you get out of this? headspace, this disappointed headspace,
I will definitely continue to pray for you, for all of you out there who listen to these journals and just anyone really who is going through something similar, like any sort of challenge and I would encourage you to know that everything starts with your heart. Don’t allow it to get bitter. Try to break free from that by just doing your best to forgive and let peace reign, pick up your cross, and do life for Jesus and pray for people that are doing wrong to you because, as I mentioned on the about me page of my website that there is nothing new under the sun. It’s so funny, but it’s so simple and true, and that, nothing is new so just be encouraged to remember that. Have a softened heart and just breathe and let peace reign.
God bless.
